Outside of Astronautics: What I Enjoy
Outside of space research, I am a big fan of ancient history, especially the civilizations of the Mediterranean region, and I enjoy visiting cities where that history still lives. I also enjoy reading science fiction; Improbable was pivotal in shaping my early intellectual curiosity during high school.

To this day, I still try to play basketball once a week and enjoy watching football (soccer) matches of my favorite team, Galatasaray. I am also a car enthusiast who enjoys rewatching episodes of Top Gear and The Grand Tour and retracing parts of their United States road trips.
